How Visionsoft replaced
all its Excel files (and the Odoo spreadsheet)
Visionsoft was Dafodoo's very first user. Its CEO looks back on moving from Excel files and Odoo's connected spreadsheet to fully automatic cash-flow steering.
The starting point
Visionsoft invoices in Odoo and, like many SMEs, used to steer its cash flow with Excel files and Odoo's connected spreadsheet. The latter is genuinely handy: it pulls Odoo data into a spreadsheet. But it's still a spreadsheet: every business rule has to be rebuilt by hand, every month means re-keying, and testing a hypothesis ("what if we push back this expense?") forces you to duplicate and tinker with columns.
The need was clear: keep the richness of Odoo, but get a day-by-day cash-flow forecast, always up to date, with no manual work. That is what gave rise to Dafodoo, first for internal use.
