What is Dafodoo?
Dafodoo is a financial-steering web app that connects to your Odoo. It automatically turns your invoices, payments and subscriptions into day-by-day cash-flow forecasting, revenue tracking, annual budget and customer reminders - no spreadsheet, no re-keying.
Do I need to install any software?
No. Everything runs in your browser: no installation, no updates to manage. You log in, enter your Odoo API key, and your data appears.
How does Dafodoo connect to Odoo?
Through an Odoo API key that you generate in your Odoo and enter once. The key is stored server-side and never exposed to your browser. Dafodoo works with Odoo online (Odoo.sh / SaaS) and self-hosted, via the standard API.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Your data is hosted in France (o2switch) and encrypted at rest in the database (AES-256) - a stolen database would be unusable. All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS, and the database is backed up daily. The financial data you import remains your property and is never resold.
Can you, or an admin, see my data?
By default your data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) but remains technically readable by the service to power automatic reports and reminders. If privacy is critical, turn on end-to-end encryption from your "My account" page: your data is then encrypted with a key that never leaves your browser. No one can read it, not even us or an administrator. In return, automatic reports and reminders (server-side) no longer apply to that data, and you re-enter your key on each sign-in. Best enabled right when you create your account. Note: if you lose the key, the data is permanently unrecoverable.
